ABOUT

Founded in 2015, Sheridan Junior Golf Association (SJGA) is a non-profit organization that introduces Sheridan area youth to the game of golf, and helps junior golfers develop golf and life skills through competitive programs and tournaments.  As a non-profit organization, the SJGA is supported by a vast network of volunteers who are passionate about junior golf.  Our Board Members, Directors, and staff spend countless hours creating a variety of tournament experiences specifically designed for junior golfers.

MISSION

The mission of the Sheridan Junior Golf Association is to introduce youth to the game of golf, encourage friendships and a life-long love for the game, provide competition and facilitate programs serving young golfers of all skill levels. Our core values (Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Fun, & Friendship) help develop our members to become tomorrow’s leaders, today.

“A Great Experience for our Kids!”

Our daughter had never really played golf until lessons with the Sheridan Junior Golf Association.  In a month's time, a great group of Sheridan coaches and volunteers had her building basic skills on the golf course.  She had a great time making new friends and she brought home some really important lessons on sportsmanship and patience.  Kudos to Coach Saner and Coach Muth for their time with our Sheridan kids!

“I can’t wait until next year!”

My favorite part of the camp was the chipping and putting contests.  They spent a lot of time helping us to swing correctly and I really think I was much better at golf after the first couple of lessons. They made it really fun for us to learn, even though it made me a little nervous go  play on the course the first few times.  I really enjoyed playing and being with my friends helped.  I can't wait to do it again next year!
